RETURN & REFUND POLICY

1. Our Commitment At Halo Bands, we take pride in the quality of our silicone rings. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.
2. Applicable Law This policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act) of South Africa.
3. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases) In accordance with Section 44 of the ECT Act, you have the right to cancel any electronic transaction within 5 (five) business days of receiving your order, without reason, provided the product is unused, unworn, in its original packaging, and in a fully resellable condition. Return shipping costs in this instance are for the customer's account.
4. Defective or Incorrect Items — CPA Section 56 Warranty Under the CPA, all goods carry an implied warranty of 6 (six) months from the date of delivery. This warranty will only come into effect under the following conditions:
The warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects present at the time of delivery (e.g. cracked stone, broken band, faulty setting)
- Items that do not match the product description or specification as listed on our website
- Items that arrive damaged due to a packaging or fulfilment error on our part
The warranty does NOT cover:
- Normal wear and tear over time
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or improper care (e.g. exposure to harsh chemicals, excessive force, or cutting tools)
- Damage caused by resizing attempts or physical alteration of the ring
- Cosmetic changes resulting from regular use (e.g. minor surface scuffs from daily wear)
- Loss of the product
To activate a warranty claim:
- You must contact us at halobandssa@gmail.com within 7 days of discovering the defect
- You must provide your order number, a clear description of the defect, and supporting photos
- The item must be returned to us for inspection before a remedy is issued
- Halo Bands reserves the right to assess the returned item and determine whether the defect falls within the scope of this warranty
If a valid warranty claim is confirmed, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or full refund at our discretion, in line with CPA Section 56.
5. Sizing Exchanges If you have ordered the incorrect size, you may request an exchange within 7 days of delivery. To qualify:
- The ring must be unworn, unused, in original packaging, and in a fully resellable condition
- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability
6. Non-Returnable Items The following are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Items that have been worn, used, damaged by the customer, or altered
- Items not returned in their original packaging or not in a resellable condition
- Sale or clearance items (marked as final sale at time of purchase)
- Items returned outside the applicable timeframe
7. How to Initiate a Return Contact us at halobandssa@gmail.com within the applicable timeframe with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Photos of the item (for defective claims)
We will respond within 2 business days with return instructions. Do not send items back without prior authorisation — unauthorised returns will not be processed.
8. Refund Processing Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days of us receiving and inspecting the returned item. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method. We are not liable for delays caused by your bank or payment provider.
9. Return Address Returns must be sent to the address provided in your return authorisation email. Halo Bands is not responsible for items lost in transit — we recommend using a tracked courier service.
